Knife Repair

hello everyone Nate here with SimplySharp and uh we are in John’s Creek uh day after Christmas a great day to get all those worn out knives sharpened but we’ve got this guy today um so you can see you got some interesting geometry uh not sure what that is and uh we’ve got the uh tip has uh been dulled and it’s a little bent so we’re going to fix this guy up and interestingly this knife is from North Carolina so what I’m loving about this is uh people hear about us and then uh the relatives come in from town and there we go so we’re going to get this guy fixed up real quick we’re getting there a little bit more to do though all right so that geometry is pretty well fixed now I mean we had to take some blades obviously that’s never going to be completely flush but uh for a pairing knife this is in great shape uh that is straightened out um there we go just put an edge on it now we’re going to refine that and then we’ll see how it does all right so this is this test we did just with a microfiber cloth um if we can kind of pull the knife along here if you feel it grab anywhere there’s still some uh more polishing to do to get the rest of the bur off but it feels pretty good so now see how we did so very nice very straight uh that knife is ready to go back in action um last little step here is put it in our nice sleeve uh so now that it’s super sharp we don’t want it cutting anyone and then also um if you have if you’re one of my customers watching this don’t forget that that QR code on there is knife care tips uh how to keep your knives uh performing well in between sharpenings so hope you guys like that nice little quick knife repair
